Deputy CM T.R. Zeliang Speaks at PLN Conference

During the Poilwa Lui Nagaland (PLN) general conference 2024, themed “Cultural Reminiscence,” Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang highlighted Poilwa’s abundant natural wealth and strategic location. He praised Poilwa as a key village in Peren district, endowed with resources and significant rivers like Tepuiki and Duilumroi.

Zeliang emphasized the village’s potential for economic growth through local produce, owing to its position at the crossroads of state and district boundaries. He also honored Poilwa’s historical role as a cradle for community leaders and pioneers, noting its importance among the Zeliangrong Villages.

The Deputy Chief Minister urged unity and a shared vision for the village, particularly in leveraging its unique landscape for tourism, given its proximity to the state capital.

The event featured various cultural presentations, including an invocation by Rev. Zerang Mbung, a welcome address by PLN Vice President Kiloiteung Hinglak, and performances by local artists and groups. The conference concluded with a benediction by local Catechist St. Domanic Church, Indilungbe Poireng.
